been like a year since ive posted

so ive been somewhat unofficially excommunicated.... not from church...... meh

it was a "trial" thing to go to china to compete.
kinda gay since you can go no matter what as long as your not super newb.
im only going to go if i can somehow get tickets cheap. dont know how, but ill find a way.
heard the last one in 2004 (World Traditional Wushu Festival) was fantabulous!!
its held in Henan Province, home of the Shaolin Temple, those sellouts.
should be crazy fun if i can afford to go tho.
im also worried about the future of Wushu at UBC. not sure whats gonna happen now. hopefully me and janet will be enuf to bring it back. grr. LOVE WUSHU. Grrrr.....

| ive been away from xanga for a while it seems but today, while at work, i have found time to do this update.
i am at TD Canada Trust doing nothing except standing here and updating xanga. work is so boring. there are almost no customers at all b/c its a brand new branch so no one even knows we're open yet.
man is it boring.

| New blog entry since forever.
I have a midterm in about 18 hrs but thats ok. I don want to sleep for some reason. It may be due to the fact that i slept alot today instead of studying.
On Sunday, I was somewhat surprised and partially disappointed to learn that the new i would be learning at Chau Luen is Nan Chuan. I semi look forward to it b/c of Sifu's crazy teaching style and also that I've yet to finish it ever. I hope to make it look really, really good.
Nite b4 that on Sat, we performed at Strathcona at this internal martial art competition. We did the double sword stuff and I fought Alvin again using dbl sword vs. spear, only he used a staff cuz he forgot the spear. It was pretty good on my and alvins part as everyone says. Everyone was really good. I love watching them fall one after the other like dominos. I recognized alot of seniors from SYL there. Hopefully we made a good impression.
Prob with Chau Luen ppl is that theyre so lazy sometimes. They nvr want to perform anywhere really, so at the banquet, we didnt do the sword forms.
I'm kinda disappointed that me and Car still havent had time to officially celebrate vday. we've both been so busy. i was looking forward to making a nice seafood dish and showing off my cooking "skills". hopefully if it happens, it wont be a fiasco. I was hoping to make a pasta dish with a white wine sauce and prawns or shrimp. car would make dessert. im not a baker, just a cooker. but i am a lover and a fighter!! lol jk
now that all the new year demos are over, ican semi concentrate. even though i have an exam tomor and the day after, im still here. dummy. i wish i were more disciplined. i say it every year, but i nvr do it. cmon mike, u can do it....

Here I am at 2:45 in the morning with an essay due at noon and what am I doing? On xanga. Sound familiar??
OMG. Its been 2 weeks of hell!!!! with so much crap due. At one point, I had 4 consecutive assignments worth 15% each. aiya.
This essay is one of those and it's already late!! Goodbye 10% of total mark.
KF is so busy these days with teaching all the young uns. I'm kinda mad cuz I dont have time to learn myself except on Mon and weekends. I still havent learned nething wushu wise this year. grr. o well. I feel better when I see so many ppl come out for the events and also when I see EVERYONE getting better at 5 step. Hope ppl don take UBCKF for granted. The friendly family atmosphere doesnt happen everywhere. I kno.
funny thing at work.
if u didnt kno, i work at Athlete's World in lougheed mall. AW is owned by the shoe company Bata. So they're rolling out this new management training session (that i cant go to b/c im TECHNICALLY not management), and its called.....drumroll....... the BATA 5 STEP program. I laffed for like 15 secs. I thought it was pretty funny. | | |
